Highland Clans Own Sgian Dubhs Our own Sgian Dubhs are made to order by one of Scotland's most skilled craftsmen who previously worked for Hamilton and Inches, one of the United Kingdoms top jewellers. These Sgian Dubhs are all hand crafted and no two items will be identical. Our top of the range Sgian Dubhs have hand carved ebony handles, and Sterling Silver mounts hallmarked by the Edinburgh assay office. The stones, traditionally a Cairngorm, are not glass imitation but real semi precious stones (smoky quartz). The Scabbard is made of wood covered by real leather. Our mid range dress Sgian Dubhs have a composite handle, but in all other aspects are identical to our top models. The composite handle produces a slimmer product, which many people prefer. We have a wonderful range of day wear Sgian Dubhs which have handles made from horn or mahogany.

The Sgian Dubh Company The Sgian Dubh Co is a division of Charles Buyers & Co Ltd who are based in the west of Scotland looking over the water to Arran and the Mull of Kintyre. They have been manufacturing Sgian Dubhs for over 25 years and now have a superb range of Sgian Dubhs which are very competitively priced. Most of the Sgian Dubhs are made with top quality pewter mounts and stainless steel blades. The pewter is lead free and is either highly polished or coated with palladium (chrome), silver or copper. At the top of the range they have some silver mounted Sgian Dubhs. All the Sgian Dubhs come in presentation boxes which are cardboard unless otherwise stated. The top of the range come in a smart rigid presentation box.

Dirks Our own Dirks are made to order by one of Scotland's most skilled craftsmen who previously worked for Hamilton and Inches, one of the United Kingdoms top jewellers. Most of our dirks have handles hand carved from ebony, and stainless steel blades. As a result we can offer a range of handle shapes, which can be plain or studded. The Dirks can be made with or without the knife and fork set and can be finished in silver or brass These Dirks are all hand crafted and no two items will be identical. We also carry a range of stock Dirks.
