Our Sgian Dubhs are made to order by one of Scotland's most skilled craftsmen who previously worked for Hamilton and Inches. The handles are carved from ebony or made from a composite material that allows for a slimmer handle. The blade is of Sheffield stainless steel with the hilt and scabbard adorned with Sterling silver hallmarked by the Edinburgh assay office. The stones, traditionally a Cairngorm, are real smoky quartz. Typically a Sgian Dubh will be despatched within two weeks of order. Very often the scabbard can have the owners crest or initials carved upon it. Please note that these are hand crafted and no two items will be identical.  More info... 
Sgian Dubh - Thistle Cairngorm Open Clasp Celtic Band Sgian Dubh - Thistle Cairngorm Open Clasp Celtic Band
This handle is shaped to the "Thistle" pattern and has a natural quartz crystal (like a traditional Cairngorm) in an open clasp. This Sgian Dubh has a fine detail Celtic Band on the shutting bezel - where the handle closes over the scabbard. Available in a moulded haft made from a composite material as shown here. This produces a slimmer handle than our ebony handles. More info..
